Odds & Ends from 2002

A little while ago – nearly a year in fact – I got myself one of those digital camera thingies and decided to take loads of photos at gigs and ‘regularly’ update the pictures on the website. Good plan.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that I’m playing the guitar and can’t take pictures during the gig, combined with the fact that I’m a lazy so-and-so, the updates haven’t happened as often as I’d liked.
So to make amends, here are all those pictures I’ve collected whilst rehearsing, setting up at gigs, and generally doing stuff we probably shouldn’t be. Enjoy.

Are you looking at me funny? OK. Wooden ducks on the amplifier. I could explain, but there’s not enough room here, and to be honest I don’t know myself! But that big one on the end….. I’m a what?....... What do you say?........

Hello Darling. Wanna come back to my place?? For some reason, Stuart took a liking to this old LP cover for ‘Hammond Pops 6’ by Klaus Wunderlich (yes, that’s his real name!). After haggling with a rather odd looking gentleman for 10 minutes Stuart purchased the item for 50 pence and it is now pride of place in his toilet.

You ain't seen me....right? Wow. You’d hardly know it wasn’t his real head would you? Eh? If you need to remain unnoticed at a gig – just put a record sleeve with a picture of some blokes head in front of your face. Simple.

Hello darling, wanna come back to my place ?(number 2) Ever wondered what it looks like from up on the stage? Well, this is a ‘Dave’s eye view’ of what I see when we’re playing. Now I bet you wish you hadn’t asked!

Is this thing on? Now, here is a very rare picture! If you look, you can actually see that I’m singing - though if you were in the audience, you’d swear that the mike wasn’t on and I was just miming. I’d nearly have got away with it too if Stuart hadn’t stopped singing to look down and check his guitar was still there!

Time for bed. When the gig is over, it’s time to put Uncle back in his box – ready for another day. Actually I think he was doing this for a bet, which he won. He’ll do anything for lager you know. Anything.

1 minute after this photo was taken we were stopped by the Police. (NOTE: do not take flash photographs while driving a motor vehicle down the A130!)
