Welcome to 'Spot the Member' - a page dedicated to early appearances by the members of FREEFALL.

This first example shows a very early snap of young Richard, appearing in the pilot episode of 'The Addams Family' as Wednesday - the gothic young daughter of Morticia & Gomez Addams. Viewing figures were low - mainly due to Richard - so he was replaced by a girl and the series went on for years, and spawned 3 major films!
This is a promotional snap of Stuart, taken for the North American advertising campaign for 'Trainspotting'. Unfortunately, due to the uncanny similarity between Stuart and a recently released mental patient, the poster could not be used in several major States and so was withdrawn. As far as we know, there is only one of these posters in existence, and is rumoured to be owned by Keith Harris.
We had a lot of trouble obtaining this picture of Dave, due to the fact that most of his 'dwarf work' was mysteriously burned in an unsolved garage fire. Here we can see him in a classic postcard pose from 'Fantasy Island'. An interesting fact about this picture is that it was actually taken by Uncle Nobby in a local beer garden, hence the slanted angle.
Mmmmm. Not surprisingly, this promotional poster for 'Mad Max' was immediately recalled. How they got Richard to stand up long enough to take this picture - after a mammoth drinking weekend with Uncle - is beyond us. Needless to say Mary Whitehouse piped up about the fact that it, and I quote, '..depicts a man so obviously spannered that he is liable to shoot at the first thing which moves'. How right she was.
When Sid James couldn't make it down to the studio to film his scenes for whichever 'Carry On' movie was being filmed at the time, he'd often ring up his good pal Stuart and get him to stand in. Nobody ever realised. This went on for years until the filming of this scene with Barbara Windsor. Unable to contain his lust for the 2ft 3" star any longer, Stuart ripped off her bra and proceeded to put it on himself and dance around the studio shouting 'Babs loves Stuart, Babs loves Stuart...' A fatal mistake which ended his film career.
A lot of people don't know this, and even more don't care, but Richard and Stuart used to do a spot of modelling. Here is an example of a album cover they were hired for - you may recognise it as the cover of that fabulous album by Fleetwood Mac, Rumours.
Unfortunately, due to Stuart being the wrong sex, it never made it onto the finished album. Pity.
This promotional shot was used for the low budget horror film - The Uncle Noby Project. Based on a group of Scouts left to fend for themselves in the woods by their evil trumpmaster 'Big Rich', they are left to survive a night out in the forest.
Little do they know it is the woods next to 'The Crown' Public House, a route often taken by the mysterious Uncle Noby on his way back to the home.

Scary!
